RPGaDay 2025 27: Tactic
At some point, I would like to try my hand at making a flowchart for monster tactis. Today’s not that day, but it’s a thing that’s been on my mind. For now, a random table of chosen actions might see me through as well. So, here’s d8 approach to combat for a monster to take:

| 1 | Sneak behind the PCs to surprise attack them. |
| 2 | Hide and sneak away from the PCs. |
| 3 | Get backup and flank the PCs. |
| 4 | Fortify the place and try to trap the PCs. |
| 5 | Use fire to cut off PCs escape and trap them. |
| 6 | Try to get the high ground and shoot at the PCs. |
| 7 | Make noise to attract something worse than it. |
| 8 | Bellow, roar, and try to intimidate the PCs. |
